Odournet specialises in sensory evaluation of products and materials and the organisation of proficiency tests. The sensory testing can be combined with chemical analysis
using high resolution GC-MS and GC-Sniffing, combining GC separation with olfactory evaluation.

Recent examples of product and material testing involved automobile parts, natural gas odorisation, deodorants, personal hygiene and sanitary products, incontinence products, electrical equipment and household appliances. The tests help in optimising sensory attributes, in particular odour, and to monitor the quality of these products.
